Colts Will Once Again Be Among Division Winners In 2010-11

Of the four major North American online sports betting associations, the National Football League is widely regarded as the one that features the most parity, with new teams rising and falling every year. While that is true in at least one of its odd ball Canadian football conferences, the scope of that parity in the other has not been as wide ranging over the past few years. In the AFC, the Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New England Patriots have largely dominated the divisions, with the Steelers the only one of the four aforementioned squads not to take home a title in 2009-10. While the ongoing saga that franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has brought about with the team may keep the Steelers from bouncing back in 2010-11, the other three teams have excellent opportunities to continue their divisional dominance.

The Colts and Chargers both reside in divisions that have lacked in talent over the past couple of seasons, and have taken advantage of that situation by winning multiple division titles over that span. The Colts have finished with at least 12 wins five years in a row to stay atop the AFC South, while the Chargers managed to win the AFC West with an 8-8 record two years ago. This year both will again have an excellent chance of winning their respective divisions. The Patriots will have a hard time repeating against much-improved New York Jets and Miami Dolphins teams, while the Steelers will likely concede to the rival Baltimore Ravens. When it is all said and done, the football betting money should be on the Colts, Chargers, Jets, and Ravens to win their respective divisions.
