Week seven of the 2011 football season has arrived, and for Breeders Cup betting handicappers, they have only but one team to choose from when wagering on an undefeated team. The Green Bay Packers are living up to their Super Bowl repeat hype, and quarterback Aaron Rodgers seems to have no intention of slowing down anytime soon. With only nine weeks left in the NFL season, here are our week seven picks. San Diego Chargers At New York Jets – Entering Sunday’s action, the San Diego Chargers have quietly put together a solid first half of the 2011 campaign, as they sit atop the AFC West division standings. Heading into their game with the New York Jets, the Chargers should be able to take advantage of a vulnerable Jets squad, that has looked every bit the part of a choke artist this season. Look for Philip Rivers and Ryan Matthews to pick apart the Jets defense, as the Chargers cruise to an easy victory. Atlanta Falcons At Detroit Lions – Coming off a disappointing loss to the San Francisco 49ers in week six, the Detroit Lions will be looking to prove to bookie software agents across the nation, that the loss was a fluke. What better way to do so, then by embarrassing an Atlanta Falcons squad that has been mediocre at best in 2011? With Julio Jones continuing to nurse a hamstring injury, look for Matt Ryan to try and run the ball against one of the top defenses in the NFL this season. As a result, the Lions should be able to thwart any attacks and cruise to a victory. Houston Texans At Tennessee Titans – With the Colts falling off with the loss of Peyton Manning, it is up to the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans to battle it out for the AFC West division crown. The Texans entered the season as the favorites to win the division, but recently have looked anything but. On the other hand, the Titans entered 2011 with expectations seemingly low, but they have exceeded those minimal beliefs to start the season. |
